A Permanant Solution for Repairing Asphalt

After the area is coned off and our crew is ready, it is as simple as this!

1. Heat asphalt until soft

In this step, infrared technology is used to heat the asphalt around the affected area to a temperature that makes it soft and pliable. This allows the existing asphalt to be repaired instead of being completely removed and replaced.

2. Rake area to be repaired

Once the asphalt is soft, the repair crew will use a rake to clear out any debris or loose material from the pothole. This ensures that the repair will bond effectively to the existing surface.

3. New asphalt is added.

With the affected area cleared and prepped, the repair crew will add a fresh layer of asphalt. The heated existing asphalt will help to ensure that the new asphalt will bond quickly and effectively to the existing surface.

4. Compaction

To ensure that the repair is solid and long-lasting, the repair crew will compact the new asphalt layer. This helps to settle the asphalt into place and eliminate any air pockets that could cause the repair to fail over time.

5. A thermal bonded finished product

The final step in the process is to use the infrared technology to bond the new asphalt to the existing surface. This thermal bonding creates a seamless and permanent repair that will last for years to come.

Infrared pothole repair is often a more cost-effective option compared to traditional methods. This is because it is a faster process that requires less manpower and equipment, resulting in lower labor and material costs. Additionally, infrared pothole repair creates a permanent bond that is less likely to fail over time, reducing the need for frequent repairs and maintenance.
